SAKE LEADERS SUMMIT
SAKE LEADERS SUMMIT is a conference where brewers, government, researchers, distributors and overseas practitioners debate the sake industry's structural challenges in one room. Not only making places to drink, but giving the industry a place to discuss its own foundations: that is what the summit is for.
Distribution first, anecdote second.
The first edition ran in 2025 as a special programme within FERMEX. Geographical indication, exports, the liquor tax act and licensing, education, succession: themes previously discussed in isolation were placed side by side over three days, in what became the sake industry's first full-scale conference.
The second edition in 2026 grounded its debate in a survey of nearly 120 breweries. Distribution first, anecdote second. In 2027 that approach widens further, reaching other fermented-drink industries as well.
