Japan's next-generation brewers converge on Tokyo — "Wakate no Yoake 2026" announced

camo Inc. will hold Wakate no Yoake 2026, Japan's largest sake festival, inviting around 50 young breweries from across the country plus overseas sake makers, over five days from Tuesday, September 30 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Otemachi Nakadori and Uchikanda Nakadori Plaza in Tokyo. The event is co-hosted with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd.

Entries for the selection round open today (application period: May 7–24). A panel of nine judges, led by chief judge Marie Chiba (owner of EUREKA!), will select the participating breweries across four thematic categories. Selection results will be announced June 16, with the final lineup of breweries announced June 30.
